Well, That Escalated Quickly…

Where I’ve been, what’s next, and some gentle thoughts to start the year

So… the blog took a little break. Not planned, not dramatic... just one of those things that slowly slips down the to-do list when you're juggling family, work, and life. You drop the stuff that doesn’t scream for your attention so you can deal with the stuff that does (usually involving snacks, deadlines, or a missing shoe).

But I’ve missed this space. The chatting, the storytelling, the chance to show how the pieces I carefully curate actually fitinto real life. Messy, lovely, dog-underfoot, hair-in-a-claw kind of life. That’s always been the point of Collection Camomille. I don’t want to sell you things that sit in a drawer. I want to offer accessories that feel beautiful and useful, that you reach for again and again! Not just for a season, but for life as it is.

I’ve never really bought into the whole “new year, new me” thing. Reinventing yourself every January? Exhausting. A few years ago, I read Atomic Habits by James Clear, and now every January I revisit the core ideas. Not to become someone new, but to notice where I’m making life harder than it needs to be. And to make small changes that actually last. Because let’s be honest, most of the time I’m the one getting in my own way.

So this year, I’m leaning into those quiet shifts. I’m focusing on the kind of person I want to be: calmer, happier, more intentional. And that spills into how I run Collection Camomille, too. I don’t really do seasonal fashion or big holiday drops. I offer one collection, all year round, thoughtfully curated with pieces that are made to last. No fluff, long lasting and just things that bring joy and stay useful.

Here’s to not wasting life. Not in a “quit your job and live in a van” way, but in a “use the good scarf, drink the hot coffee, buy the thing you’ll actually wear every week” way. Notice the beauty in the daily stuff and be more present and not hidden behind your to do list or your IG.

Glad to be back here with you 💛
